Helping Go is delighted to be working in partnership with the team at Killin & District Voluntary Car Scheme (KDVCS).
The Scheme was launched in 2018 when a group of volunteers was successful with an application to Stirling Council for grant funding. They offer lifts to those that that have problems accessing transport and who live in Killin and Strathyre.
The service is provided by volunteer drivers who use their cars to provide transport to people who struggle to access other forms of transport for a variety of reasons and where there is a need to access services that are essential or in the interest of their general wellbeing
Helping Go Helping was established in 2018 to help volunteer car schemes using digital technologies. We are funded by the Scottish Government through NESTA.
The team at Helping Go work with voluntary car schemes to enhance the provision and management of volunteer car journeys using technology to link car schemes, drivers, passengers and corporations. We do this by offering training, technical advice, data reviews and system recommendations to schemes.
The partnership will develop KDVCS' community engagement through the Helping Go App and digital communication channels to help get the word out about all the great things that KDVCS are doing.
If you would like to find out more about KDVCS, whether you need a lift, know someone that would benefit from a lift or would like to volunteer as a driver, please get in touch with KDVCS the team via www.kdvcs.org.uk.
