Our scheme is administered by paid part-time staff operating from an office situated within Perth Royal Infirmary.
The drivers are all volunteers and customers are charged for trips at a rate which reflects the running costs of the cars, but is below that of a commercial taxi fare.
Looking for a Lift
Our journeys range from attendance for appointments at various medical centres, dentists, chiropodists, hairdressers, day care centres or shopping and social purposes throughout Scotland, or even as far as the north of England.
All trips must be pre-booked through the office at which time the cost of the journey will be disclosed.
If you are able and willing to devote just a few hours per week you would be made most welcome to join our team of drivers - both male and female.
To drive any of the converted vans you only require a valid car licence but for the Minibus you must be a MiDAS trained driver. There is no age restriction provided you are fit and healthy.
The service is greatly appreciated by the less fortunate of our society who have difficulty in getting out and about and it can be very rewarding to know that YOU can make a big difference to their daily lives.
